Quinnipiac Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine has been providing outpatient physical therapy services to the North Haven and Hamden communities for over 20 years. Owned and operated by physical therapists since our inception, we provide outstanding and convenient care with a focus on putting our patient’s best interests and well-being first.

Meet Our Dedicated Team
David Mikos, DC, PT, MCTA
Owner
Dr. Mikos established Quinnipiac Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine in 1996. Focused on providing the most comprehensive approach to manual therapy in the region, he has built and developed Quinnipiac Physical Therapy into one of the most trusted centers in the region.
He received his bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in 1990 and received his doctorate degree in Chiropractic from the University of Bridgeport College in 1996. Two years later, in 1998, David became an accredited teacher in the Mulligan Concept Teachers Association. This association teaches a non-thrust mobilization technique, emphasizing the immediate restoration of pain-free movement. He continues to teach this concept nationally.
David lives in North Haven with his wife and three children and devotes much of his time to the youth and high school sports programs.

Stephen Giblin, DPT
Physical Therapist
Dr. Giblin joined Quinnipiac Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine in 2019. Steve graduated from Quinnipiac University in May 2016 with a B.S. in Health Sciences and a minor in psychology. He then went on to receive his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University in May 2019. Steve has completed a MULLIGAN™ manual therapy course and plans to complete all courses. Steve lives in Trumbull and enjoys spending his free time longboarding, snowboarding, and camping.
Matt Edwards, DPT
Physical Therapist
Matt lives in North Branford and enjoys weight lifting, running, playing basketball, and spending time with his dog.
Frank Raccio, PTA, ATC
PT Assistant
Frank is certified by Sole Supports Orthotics to cast and distribute custom orthotics. He is also certified in Functional Range Release for the lower limb. Continually improving his skills, Frank has been trained in the Mulligan Concept Technique which utilizes mobilizations to allow a pain-free range of motion.
Frank works in conjunction with our physical therapists on staff to provide exceptional treatment within the plan of care for our patients.
William J. Coon, ATC/L, PTA, CSCS
PT Assistant
William graduated from Central Conn. State University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine and later went on to receive his Associate in Science in Physical Therapy, Physical Therapist Assistant program in 2007 from NVCC. He has been treating in the out-patient orthopaedic setting for over 20 years. William was also adjunct faculty teaching at the college level in the PTA program at NVCC for 5 years and has mentored over 30 students in the out-patient orthopaedic setting. He also serves as an Onsite Reviewer for The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). He has specialty training in the Mulligan Concept, Maitland Accessory/Physiological Joint Mobilization, Cyriax Differential Diagnosis and Treatment, and The Mckenzie Protocol for treatment of the spine. William has also fabricated custom orthotics for the past 15 years. Utilizing evidence based techniques and care plans, he works methodically to return each patient to their best functional outcome.
Christian Rodriguez, PTA
PT Assistant
Christian graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2018 with a B.S in Biology. He then went on to receive his Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Norwalk Community College in 2020. Christian previously worked in a skilled nursing facility before joining QPT, and is eager is develop his skills in the outpatient setting. Christian plans to be trained in the Mulligan Concept and is currently studying for his Certified Strength and Conditioning certificate. Christian lives in Milford and enjoys spending his free time playing softball, camping and spending time with his dogs.

Anthony Ah-Mu, ATC, CSCS
Athletic Trainer
Anthony Ah-Mu joined Quinnipiac Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine in 2018 as an Athletic Trainer. He currently splits his time between QPTSM and North Haven High School where he provides care to the student-athletes. Anthony received his Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from Southern Connecticut State University in May of 2018. Anthony has continued his education and has received certifications in both strength and conditioning (CSCS) as well as dry needling. He is also a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
